In 2007, W.K. Alfred Yung and C. David James will take over as Editors of Neuro-Oncology, and the journal's main Editorial Office will move to the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. The Web address for submitting manuscripts to Neuro-Oncology (www.editorialmanager.com/n-o) will remain the same.

Abhijit Guha, President of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, has announced the creation of the SNO International Outreach Committee. The committee is currently seeking volunteers with contacts in or knowledge of the following geographical regions: Africa, Australasia, China, Eastern Europe, Middle East, South and Central America, and Southeast Asia-Indian Subcontinent. Committee members will be tasked with fostering collaborative relationships with local oncology societies, leading neuro-oncologists, or ministries of health from their geographical region. Further information is available at the SNO Web site, and those wishing to join should contact Chas Haynes, in the SNO Office (chas{at}soc-neuro-onc.org).

Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO)
November 16-19, 2006, Orlando, Florida

The eleventh annual meeting of the Society for Neuro-Oncology will be held in Orlando, Florida, November 16-19, 2006, at the Orlando Peabody. Education Day is November 15. The program will include topics ranging from basic molecular and genetic research to reports of recent clinical research. In 2007, the annual SNO meeting will be held November 15-18 at the Gaylord Texan on Lake Grapevine outside Dallas, and in 2008, it will be held November 20-23 at the Lake Las Vegas Resort outside Las Vegas.Go

Thirteenth Annual Blood-Brain Barrier Meeting
March 22-24, 2007, Stevenson, Washington

The Thirteenth Annual Blood-Brain Barrier Meeting will be held March 22-24, 2007, at Skamania Lodge in the Columbia River Gorge, Stevenson, Washington. The focus of the meeting will be translational blood-brain barrier research. The meeting is partially funded by an NIH R13 meeting grant from NCI, the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and the National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders. The registration deadline is February 1, 2007.Go
